From Abigail: Today we toured a glass-making studio (Studio Berengo) and gallery in the island of Murano in the Venice Lagoon, which was a highlight for everyone. The pieces were beautifully intricate, and watching the process of their creation was fascinating. Later in the day, we went via vaporetto (a kind of boat-bus) to the beach at Lido (another island), and splashed around in the water. We concluded the day with a nice cone of gelato.
